Major and College: Master’s student in Business Analytics at University of Maryland – Robert H. Smith School of Business

Internship Title: Channel Development Intern

Internship Site: Vision Technologies

1) Please tell us about your career goals.

I see myself hopefully becoming a Business Analyst one day for a Tech Company. I want to be applying the skills I have developed through my internship and grad school and apply them to the real world. I want to be an asset to a company, and someone who can be looked upon as a good role model and employee.

2) Tell us about your internship (i.e., day-to-day responsibilities, special projects/clients, and work culture).

I’ve been an intern here since Summer 2025, primarily working with the Channel team while also gaining experience across other departments. In addition to my core responsibilities, I’ve spent time working with an AI tool, Procurement Sciences, to support teammates and help streamline various tasks. Some of my key projects so far include updating the Channel website, contributing to the development of a channel playbook, and using AI-driven tools to assist team members and improve overall efficiency.

3) Describe the process of obtaining your position. When did you hear of the position and submit your application?

I first heard of the position back in the Spring of 2025, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to get hands on experience in a professional environment, and it has turned into becoming one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have really enjoyed my time here and am very grateful to the company for keeping me onboard since the Summer.

4) Which of the following resources did you use to find your current experience?

LinkedIn or Other Social Media

5) What have you enjoyed the most about your position or organization?

I would say just getting experience in different departments, meeting new people and making connections. The work environment is a very pleasant place to be, and I genuinely enjoy coming into the office and seeing my colleagues. The organization has organized so many great events, outings, since I have been here. I have gotten to take part in lots of fun events, which have been a great experience.

6) How do you believe you have made an impact through your work?

I would say just by trying to set a good example, making sure I am getting all of my work done, trying to be a positive influence in the workplace, and being someone who is willing to try or learn new things. I feel like I am someone who you can depend on.

7) What advice would you give to another student who is seeking an internship or similar experience (i.e., Internship search, Resume, or Interview tips)?

I would say definitely look at jobs on platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed. Do not be discouraged by rejections or not hearing back from employers. Do what you can to try and make yourself stand out, and definitely be open to seeking out help, or attending career fairs, recruiting events, etc. Most colleges offer resume /interview help, and these are resources that are very valuable, and good life skills to have.
