We have had 6 interns through MTIP and each of them have successfully helped out with events and even contract work. They have been able to assist their respective managers with real work while receiving meaningful skills.

2) What inspired the founder to start the company?

To support the mission of defense and our warfighters.

3) What problem is the company solving, or what service or feature is the company providing?

TAC focuses on collaborating with government, industry and academia professionals to solve cybersecurity challenges. With our newly launched OT Bootcamp, cyber ranges, and simulation environments, we are able to provide hands-on training for professionals to get real-life experience with real-life cyber risk scenarios.

4) Can you share a major milestone or success that has had a significant impact on your company’s growth?

Our annual “Defend the ___” (formerly “Hack the”) events are hosted to bring government, industry, and education professionals together to collaborate on what is best to protect our critical infrastructures. These events allow us the opportunity to work closely with differing organizations in order to find solutions to the nation’s current cyber risks.

5) What is your company aiming to achieve in the next 5 to 10 years?

TAC is a non-profit with the mission to advance enduring technological advantage for the nation in defending critical infrastructure. We do that by focusing our efforts on training the workforce, accelerating innovation, and connecting the ecosystem. In the next 5-10 years we will be part of the solution to close the gap between open cybersecurity roles and the trained workforce, and delivering capabilities that enable greater cyber defense of critical infrastructure.

6) What advice would you give to someone wanting to start a company in your industry?
